Duvel is a blond beer of top fermentation with secondary fermentation in the bottle. The taste has a subtle bitterness and a refined aroma. There is a pronounced hop character. The special brewing process takes about 90 days and ensures that the beer acquires an alcohol-sweet and bitter taste. When talking about the heavier beers, people usually refer to Duvel, the blond beer with spicy and stimulating aromas. Duvel has an alcohol content of 8.5%. The aromas have citrus scents that are also reflected in the taste. Furthermore, the aftertaste is slightly bitter and dry. This is due to the use of only the best hops. Duvel is best to drink at 5 degrees Celsius.
